The Lemmings, from H Magazine
Currently studying at Lesly Kahn & Co, Annie H. Savage combines the sass & strength of Cynthia Nixon with the quirky charm & comedic capacity of Judy Greer.

Annie’s passion for performance began early at The American Dance Theatre, in Portland, Oregon. She studied the Martha Graham technique, telling stories through dance. She fell in love with it and, in later years, joined the company’s Arts Program, expanding into theatre, improv and singing. Annie continued exploring this artistic bliss, performing in local theatre and television commercials throughout her youth in Portland.

Upon moving to Los Angeles Annie attended the yearly “Actorfest” hosted by Backstage West. Overwhelmed and unsure of her next move, Annie put her name in a fishbowl at The Second City booth raffle for free classes. “At worst, I get put on a mailing list”, she thought. Two weeks later Annie received a phone call from The Second City congratulating her on winning the raffle. Thus her fate was sealed.

Because of her training at The Second City, Annie was able to discover her comedic voice and hone her skills in improv and sketch. As a graduate of the school, Annie has starred in several sketch and improv shows and even wrote, produced and starred in her own hit show, “Stupid Annie and Her Stupid Friends: The Experience” directed by Wyatt Cenac (The Daily Show). Annie is still asked to perform in improv shows, sketch shows, short films, indie films, voice-over jobs, webseries and readings because of her work at The Second City.

Annie appears monthly in the consistently sold-out show, "The Thrilling Adventure and Supernatural Suspense Hour,” a staged production in the style of old-time radio. Acting and singing, every month Annie holds her own alongside Paul F. Tompkins (Best Week Ever), Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds), Samm Levine (Inglorious Basterds) and John DiMaggio (Futurama), just to name a few. Guest stars of the show include Andy Richter, Kevin Pollack, Dave Foley, Justin Kirk, Martin Starr and many many more. Click on the NEWS section of the webpage for more info on the show.

Among her list of recent accomplishments, Variety called Annie a “tour de force” for her work as a cast member of the National Lampoon Lemmings Comedy Troupe. She trained at Impact Personal Safety Self-Defense for her role in the independent feature “Pistoleras”. And in 2009 she performed in the opening musical number at The Annie Awards, hosted by Tom Kenny.

Plan on seeing a lot more of Annie in 2010! With a webseries of her own in the works, being a main voice on two animation pilots and the continued success of her monthly show, Annie has created the road that will take her even farther with a clear set of strategic goals. So, stick out yer thumb and hitch a ride! It’s gonna be a very interesting year!
